Manhattan twenty-something trying to become the youngest woman to run a marathon in all fifty states, while still enjoying her margaritas. Sometimes simultaneously. Sorry for the six day disappearance - it would seem that I never get around to posting on my good days. Okay, not that this weekend constituted "good days." I mean, they were fantastic days from a fun perspective, and… Full Story »

Absolut(ly) Fit &bull Jun 17, 2010
Manhattan twenty-something trying to become the youngest woman to run a marathon in all fifty states, while still enjoying her margaritas. Sometimes simultaneously. Well, except that on my lunch break I read a FlyerTalk post discussing where… Full Story »

Absolut(ly) Fit &bull Jun 1, 2010
Manhattan twenty-something trying to become the youngest woman to run a marathon in all fifty states, while still enjoying her margaritas. Sometimes simultaneously. The first thing I felt when I woke up was nervous... The answer was, surprisingly, no - I was a bit dehydrated from the alcohol, but other than that was totally fine. Yay! I tried to be very quiet while getting myself together so as not to wake up our roommate, Sara, but as it got closer to time to leave, my mom and I started wondering if we should make her. She was doing the last… Full Story »

After being out till 4am on Friday night, I had to be at Penn Station for the 7am bus to Albany on Saturday morning. Oops! That probably wasn't the way to get rested up for the race. While I had to work for a while on the bus, I did manage to get about an hour of sleep on the quick trip up to Albany - not great, but better than nothing. My mom met me at… Full Story »

Race Report: Fargo Marathon
Absolut(ly) Fit &bull May 24, 2010
Manhattan twenty-something trying to become the youngest woman to run a marathon in all fifty states, while still enjoying her margaritas. Sometimes simultaneously. After a 5 minute walk that totally drenched my hair and face, I arrived at the Fargodome where the start and finish of the race were. It was like a huge stadium that was entirely covered, and when I headed into the main part of the "Dome", I found that they still had vendors from the expo set up all over the field. Even cooler, I discovered that the race finish was inside the Dome, with bleachers… Full Story »
