Weekend recap: yesterday was the Healthy Kidney 10k. Conveniently, a lot of this happened during my lunch break, and since I work just a few… Full Story »

I rode 20 miles Sunday. It was not only my first time going that distance, but also an amazing day for it... 70's, clear, sunny, just right. My bike is cranky, unfortunately - the second ring is all messed up… Full Story »

I sandwiched the Run for the Wild 5k into a 10 mile run yesterday. I'm still not sure if it was ill-advised or totally awesome. First, I ran about 3.5 miles there on the Pelham Parkway Greenway. (I tried to link to a slideshow that shows all of the places the Bronx greenways travel - they essentially connect the significant amounts of parkland found in the Bronx, from City Island / Orchard Beach through Pelham Bay Park, where I live, across Pelham Parkway, and into Bronx Park, which contains the Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens,… Full Story »

Eh. Rest day. Little happening. The Bronx Zoo Run for the Wild 5k is Saturday. I think I might jog to it - it's 2.5 to 3 miles away, so the whole thing makes a perfect 10-ish miles. The weather is supposed to be GAWWWWGEOUS and weekend morning public transit in the Boogoe… Full Story »
