Now we've learned that 2010 Virgin London Marathon champion Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia and 2010 Boston Marathon champion Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot of Kenya will also race in Chicago, giving the men's race three of the last five World Marathon Majors winners. Wanjiru and Kebede are currently tied atop the World Marathon Marathon Majors standings with 50 points apiece. With Bank of America's support, I'm proud to say that the current World Marathon Majors series could be decided right here in Chicago between these great rivals." Marathon on November 7. Yamauchi, a British athlete based in Japan, was second in the 2009 London Marathon in 2:23:12. Her major road race victories include the 2010 Ohume 30K in 1:43:24 and the Marugame Half-Marathon in 2010 (1:10:46) and 2009 (1:08:29). In 2008, Yamauchi won the Osaka Ladies Marathon in 2:25:10, was third in Tokyo in 2:25:03, and was sixth in the Beijing Olympic Marathon in 2:27:29. She was the 2006 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist in the 10,000 in 31:49.40.
